I have worn glasses/contacts since I was 7. I am 14 now, and my vision stopped rapidly getting worse, but is still very bad–things are only clear about 3 inches in front of my face without contacts or glasses. However, since I can remember, I have thought something was wrong with my eyesight but never really knew how to (or wanted to) explain it to anyone. For example, when I look at a blank wall, I don’t just see a blank wall, i see many teeny-tiny clear moving dots that make up the wall, if that makes any sense? I don’t know if this is normal…
Also, sometimes I see clear floaters. Probably from looking at the sun accidentally. And I kept seeing a black floater out of the corner of my eye today when I looked looked at the white board and looked back down at my paper.
My mom has a history of bad eye problems…but I don’t know how to talk to her about this.

I know I’m stupid for not trying to figure this out sooner, but could someone please give me answers? I’d rather die than go blind and I don’t know what to do.

Recently ive been dreaming more than usual about this guy i like. We live in the same building where we go to school so i used to see him much more at the beginning of the semester.

Usually if i dreamt about him it would be the usual “wishful thinking” dream. The kind where we date them or kiss them..w/e. But i dont really see him except maybe once or twice every two weeks and i do miss seeing him and being able to have a chat with him. I keep dreaming of him doing the things i would normally see him do around the building. He’s my Resident Advisor so he was usually posting up papers on bulletin boards, making posters, doing rounds and checking in on the suites we live in. This is what i see him do in the dreams ive been having. Its always the same thing, him posting up something or just walking by like just like how everything happened when i would run into him.

Its unusual for me to dream the same thing over and over and especially when i dont see the person very often. Think its my mind trying to make up for me not being able to see him?

The dream always seems really realistic as if it really was me running into him like in real life.

Okay, every night whe I dream I have a vision into the future, usually I go 3-4 weeks into the future and I’m looking through my eyes doing soemthing. It’s as if my soul leaves my sleeping body and enters my future body. I can only see the future for 30 seconds. Many people call this deja vu or being psyhic, but they get stumped after I tell them that I remember everything I saw when I wake up and expect it to come in the near future. The longest I’ve seen into the future has been several months. I can’t explain it, time travel??? For example I’ll dream of being in a lecture hall with everyone around me what they’re wearing, whats on the board what time of day it is, and what the teacher is saying and everything EXACTLY the same happens a few weeks later. And I freeze there saying I’ve experienced this before and remmber back to my dream. They’re not symbols or anything, EXACTLY as I see it in my dream I see it in the future. Please help me, I’m not joking nor am I going mad.
Oh an I can’t decide where to go in the future I just end up there….it’s not like I have a time machine in my hands.

I dreamed that an old lady, i think she was dressed in a black robe, was standing next to me and she had drawn on a white board 1 woman and 1 witch and she pointed at them and said “la possa eu bife” I think that was it, i am not sure about “bife” because in my dream it sounded more life bisife or something like that. But the witch that was standing next to me pointed again at the woman and said “la possa” and then pointed to the witch and said “eu bife”

She then pointed at another drawing of now 1 woman and 2 witches and repeated the same thing, she was expecting me to repeat the words and understand that “la possa eu bife” meant the drawings or something weird.

I’ve always had a desire to “check what’s under the hood” on the space shuttle. I’ve been an A&P mechanic for 25 years. Most of it on large aircraft. I have so many questions about the space shuttle. I’d love to sit and talk to some Rockwell or NASA guys. Here is some of the questions I’d ask. If anyone know the answer feel free to chime in…

Underneath the fuselage exterior skin is it built with frames and longerons like a large aircraft?

What is the exterior skin made of. I know the areas exposed to re-entry friction are covered in the tiles, but what’s under the tiles. What covers the areas on the “cool” side?

If it’s aluminum did you guys need some special alloy or is it just 7075 or 2024?

It obviously has elevons and that rudder/speed brake combo, what does it do for hydraulic system actuation? I’m sure it doesn’t run Skydrol or 5606 but what does it use?

Does it even have a hydraulic system?

Rivets and hi-loks? Regular MS/NAS hardware anywhere on board or did the sustained structural loads require special stuff everywhere?

Part of me thinks that, given the mission, every little detail was probably engineered to the Nth degree. Another part wonders if, for example, you secured the wire bundles with Adel clamps and string ties and used castellated nuts with cotter pins. I dont think the average guy doing C-checks on MD11′s can fathom what that thing looks like up close

okay.. So ive had these dreams where im like at a mall, but i have no idea what mall, and it looks nothing like an mall i’ve been to. And i keep going to the same stores in this mall to like buy clothes and stuff

So anyway, i was making the usual dream rounds through the same sequence of stores (this time my mom, sister, and boyfriend are with me). Until we get to the last store. And i went to the back of the store were there was like a shelf of Cardinals (St. Louis Baseball team for those who are wondering) things and right next to it a bulletin board with pictures of red convertibles and a box underneath it. I was looking through all the Cardinals stuff when this dude, in a Cardinals uniform walked up to me with the brightest smile on his face. He took off his cap, signed it….. and put it back on his effing head… XDD

He started to make some sort of deal with me, That my boyfriend, my sister, and I had to find all the scrap metal that we could find and put it in that darn box. (Crazy right?)

So yes, we all separated and i walked to the store across from that one and there was A LOT of scrap metal on the ground. Something had just broke and the lady said i could have it…. So i took it all and started back to the little box to drop it all off. I remember my mom being proud of me ((XDDDD WTF))

Then it changed from the mall, to my back yard. And me and my sister were trying to find some scrap metal there, and i dug up and piled up a thing of dirt and went through it… i was finding all sorts of metal all bent in different ways…. and i found like 4 best friend necklaces ((i have one set of this best friend necklace in real life, but for some reason in my dream, i had 2 sets in this pile of dirt))…..

So yes weird dream. But i know it has to mean something

Imagine 2 balls that have different radii sitting on a table. Now rest a small flat board that rests on top of them perfectly perpendicular to the table (only using 2 dimensions). How do you calculate the points in which the board is touching the balls given the radius of the circles and the distance from the center of each circle.

This isn’t homework but a personal project about vision blocking. I want to verify that another ball in between the 2 other balls is either fully covered, partially covered or outside the area in between the 2 balls. Once I figure out this part, I can probably do the rest on my own. A resource with a helpful example would be good. 10pts for the best answer.

I’m looking for P1 and P2 on the 2 circles, but I think I figured out how to do it. I can check for the intercept given m2 (which is m1 *2) and the perpendicular slope of m2 that passed through the centers of the circles. But you’re right about L1 and L2 being the same length.. told you I worded it badly But a picture is worth a 1000 words.
Looking closer, I need the angle of m1 to the x-axis and multiply that by 2 for find m2. Looking for that formula now.

hey can you’se try and interperate this dream? i had it months and months ago but i think of it every now and again. now its a bit hazy but it still confuses me.

well firstly my family and i went shopping in one of the ” towers”, inside it was very small with an never ending it seemed turns of flights stairs. we continued on up and we met a few relatives on the way, we were debating were to eat because we were hungry near the top when a song on the radio make me think ” oh no theres a bomb ” or something. i told some of my family memebers but i could never seem to get a hold of them all i would have 3/6 of my family infront of me to warn then and try and get them to the bottom, but i could never have all of my family. it was hard and difficult to round up everyone and get them to belive me. eventually i got some on board and some of us got out. i ran inside to get my mother and got her out just before the whole place exploded and crashed to the ground. then we went home and my brother was missing. a few days later we found out he didnt make it.
this dream was really weird and i rarely remeber my dreams for such a long time. im not even from america and i had no1 i knew in the 9/11 attacks so it seems completly irrelevent to anyone in my family or my self if you know what i mean.

What started it:
My good friend has dyslexia, and I had a little trouble reading. I told her my problems, and she understood me. I asked her if she ever had any of the problems, and she said that she had all of them. Then I started worrying.

Why I think I do: Me, A 12 year old girl used to get head aches while reading. Now, when I read, I get weird almost real movements. The paper sometimes makes flashes. Or maybe its the words that bold. I can’t really tell what is happening, but it makes it almost impossible for me to read. I sometimes write a letter switched. EX: Their EX: Thier. I notice the mistake, and know how to spell it, but it is some sort of habbit some reason for me to do that. When I read, not one letter, not one word, but the whole entire line (in a book) moves left and the next line moves right. I can tell my right from left, but when someone is sitting accross from me, I have trouble to notice that my left is their right. It is really hard for me to figure out. I learned how to tell left from right because my broken finger is on my left hand. I use that as a recourse whenever I can’t think which is which. But usually I am a good left to right teller. When words are clumped up on the board, I have a really hard time telling them apart, and what word they are. But when they are spread, I am fine. My vision is 20/20 so I know it’s not my vision. When there is a lot of math numbers on a page, I have a hard time telling each apart. It confuses my eyes. I have read a bunch of words all switched before. EX (real life example) When I was looking at a Micheals 60% off on all framing, I read it as Micheals 60% off all farming. I told my mom that I didn’t know that Micheals had farming supplies, and she asked she could see the coupon. She corrected me by showing me it was “framing”. I was shocked. I knew it was farming!!! I looked at it again and it WAS framing!! When I was younger, I always thought that graffiti was garfitti. I switched the a & r. I can read pretty good, but after a whole paragragh, I can’t rememer one thing I read. It’s as if it didn’t process. I have some more things like that, but I need to tell you what is possotive. In class, I am a bit antsy. (I can’t stand it if I’m sitting still for more that 20min.)

Posotive things: I can read out well pretty well, but I don’t understand myself. I am good at grammar, but on a scale from 1-10 at spelling, I am a 8. I used to be a spelling wiz. I only get switches about 5% of the time. Today, I just found out that capacity is really capacity! I thought it was capcity! I have read it for so long, and now after 12 years, I finally found out it was capacity!!!

Do not say no just because I have good spelling in this. There is a spelling check!!!

I play piano, and sometimes I can’t sight read that well.

Fact: I am very interested in art, and LOVE drawing. YOu won’t find one paper of mine without some sort of doodle
Fact: I have a hard time with the difference between gh and ph. I thought that laugh was lauph a couple weeks ago.
Fact: I space out a TON in class.

Comment on what you think. If you did not read the whole thing, then please do. Remember, I have some extra effects that I don’t have the time to explainl. WHy did my teachers never question me? This problem just grew onto me. I always had some issues, but now it’s taking a big effect! I do not have terrible reading, but I don’t have great. It takes me about 2 minutes to read one page in a book.

I have to do this project for psychology where I haveto make sortof a vision board/collage with my hopes & dreams & pictures. But we haveto make it out of something we want to be. For example : a lawyer, you would get a breifcase & put pictures & stuff on that. Does anybody have any other ideas for lawyers besides this? & does anybody have any ideas on what to do for a model or anything having to do with beauty? Thank youuu!
